Why Choose us?
James Gorgol has more than 20 years of industry experience and has tackled some of the most difficult structural steel requirements within the industry. Mr. Gorgol also ensures that he is current in all code requirements required by the American Welding Society, and the newly established FEMA requirements.
Mr. Gorgol has also become familiar with DSA and other government / military requirements having already worked at several schools, Military installations and Government buildings. Welder Procedure Specification (WPS), Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA), Fall Protection Progams, HIIP, MSD sheets are all already on file at Firewire.
We know you have many options to choose from when it comes to welding, however Firewire brings knowledge and experience coupled with the legitimacy of being a licensed contractor that other welders simply do not have. Yes that welder posting on craigslist may be cheaper in the short term, but Firewire welds and builds things for the long term.
How does FCAW compare to SMAW?
I typically use an E71-T8 wire that meets or exceeds all of the same requirements as any E70XX electrode. E71-T8 is also rated to be used in wind gusts of up to 28 miles per hour. An E71-T1 wire also has the same metallurgical characteristics as an E71-T8 wire, but can only weld in wind gusts of up to 5 miles per hour.
Different electrode types are available upon request and may incur an additional charge.
